In the light of flickering candles, this pair brings Christmas peace into your home. Angel and miner are among the most famous ambassadors of the Ore Mountains and shine from many windows in and around Seiffen.

Patron saints of miners

Angels and miners found each other very early on. The angel as a figure was first born during the mining era in the Erzgebirge. In the dark times, he offered protection for the miners working hard underground and also provided light on the miners' way home. In their short free time, the miners carved the miner in their image. Their wives painted the figures and they were placed alongside the angels. An old tradition still lives on today in some families in the Erzgebirge - a miner is placed in the window of the house for each son and an angel for each daughter.

Flickering lights, similar to a real candle

Angel and miner are well-known traditional figures from the Erzgebirge. Nestler offers the pair in natural or colored, in different sizes and different lighting variants. This pair is electrically illuminated with four flame candles and a belly lamp. Flame candles create a realistic flickering, that comes close to a real candle. Both figures are supplied separately with a transformer and an 80 cm long connection cable. This means that the angel and miner can also stand at the window without any problems.

Angel and miner made by hand

The angel and miner are 50 cm tall and are therefore relatively large figures, which will immediately become the eye-catcher of your Christmas decorations. They are clear varnished and painted. The angel is adorned with an apron, which is dabbed with brown paint by hand using a small sponge. Pretty flowers with dots decorate the dress. The top is painted with brown ornaments and the head is adorned with a crown. Of course, the wings should not be missing. They are attached to the back and printed with small snowflakes.

Anticipation of Christmas

The miner stands in festive costume next to the angel. His hat is decorated with a feather and a hammer and mallet. The hat scarf is attached to him. Erstklassig verarbeitet und von schlichter Eleganz verbreiten diese beiden Figuren ein warmes, vorweihnachtliches Licht. In dieser Grösse ein absoluter Hingucker und trotzdem unaufdringlich. Bei dem Preis habe ich erst auch ein paar Tage überlegt, aber die Entscheidung dafür, war absolut richtig.
